Interview with ANK Law Office attorney regarding the return of Ukrainian sailors from Libyan prison

Artem Volkov, an attorney and head of maritime law practice at ANK Law Office, commented on the return of Ukrainian sailors of the tanker Captain Khayyam crew after almost 5 years in a Libyan prison and told reporters who should be contacted first if such a situation occurs.

“The first person to be notified is the consul. Then, of course, when it comes to criminal proceedings, it is necessary to appoint lawyers. Next, the media should be informed when the public response can contribute to the investigation and release of sailors,” Artem said.
