A Gazebo Was Opened in Peremoha Park with Participation of Oleksandr Kyfak, Managing Partner of ANK

A new gazebo was opened in Peremoha Park in time for City Day: ANK Law Firm marks its 30th anniversary by contributing to the beautification of Odesa

Ahead of the City Day, which Odessa residents will celebrate on September 2, a ceremonial event took place in Peremoha Park—the unveiling of a memorable stone and a cozy gazebo. The event was attended by Olena Dzhaburia, Acting Chair of the Odessa Regional Bar Association; Oleksandr Kyfak, Honorary Consul of Germany in Southern Ukraine and managing partner of the “ANK” Law Firm; as well as local attorneys and their family members.

The initiative to create a cherry blossom alley in Peremoha Park originally came from the Odesa Regional Bar Association. This is not the first time the Bar Association has supported projects aimed at greening and renewing the green spaces in the park, which remains one of Odesa residents’ favorite places for walks. This time, the legal community decided to install a memorable stone at the beginning of the alley.

The team from the “ANK” Law Firm joined the initiative with pleasure and installed a comfortable gazebo nearby. The event was symbolic for the firm, as this year “ANK” is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its founding. “If a mother with a baby takes a rest in our gazebo, it’s almost a guarantee that the child will grow up to be a successful lawyer,” jokes Oleksandr Kyfak, managing partner of the “ANK” Law Firm.

Founded in 1996, ANK Law Firm has consistently ranked among the top 50 law firms according to “Yurydychna Praktyka” since 1998 and tops the rankings of the most famous regional firms in the Odesa region and southern Ukraine. The firm is also a member of the international network Geneva Group International (GGI), which brings together more than 600 leading law and audit firms worldwide.

The lawyers of the ANK Law Firm supported many significant projects, including the establishment and management of joint ventures (private stevedoring companies) in the ports of Odesa, the construction of the “Danube-Black Sea” canal (carried out by the German company “Moebius”), the construction of a container terminal in the Port of Odesa, carried out by the German company HHLA; the reconstruction of the maritime approach channel to the deep-water berths of the Port of Pivdennyi (Moebius); the reconstruction of the operational water area of the Sukhoi Liman, where the Port of Chornomorsk is located, carried out by the Chinese company China Harbour Engineering Company; the reconstruction (restoration) of St. Paul’s Church in Odesa and its return to community ownership; the construction of a grain terminal in the free economic zone of the Port of Reni; investment projects at the Port of Chornomorsk; the salvage of the tanker “DELFI,” which sank off the Odesa coast; the construction of grain elevators in various regions of Ukraine; the construction of dealerships and service centers for global automotive brands in various regions of Ukraine; and the representation of shipowners and their insurers in cases involving spills of palm olein and petroleum products in Ukrainian ports. ANK Law Firm is trusted by world-renowned clients, including Akkon Lines, HHLA, North P&I, Maritime Anti-Corruption Network, MSC, McDonald’s Ukraine, UK P&I, Wilmar, and many others.

From the team of lawyers at ANK Law Firm have emerged 7 candidates of legal sciences, one doctor of legal sciences, and many other highly qualified specialists who have become heads of educational institutions, employees of government agencies, and staff members of international organizations, including the European Court of Human Rights and the World Health Organization. Prior to the outbreak of the war, ANK Law Firm held an annual scholarship competition to support talented young people and recruit future lawyers to its team. According to ANK Law Firm Managing Partner Oleksandr Kyfak, approximately 70% of the firm’s lawyers are winners of the scholarship competition.

The new gazebo in Peremoha Park is a gift to the residents of Odesa and visitors of the city from a company that, for 30 years, has not only been developing the country’s business environment but also investing in the comfort of its hometown.
