Managing partner of ANK Law Firm, attorney Alexander Kifak spoke at the XII International Black Sea Container Summit on the subject of the creation and modernization of container terminals
On September 6, 2018, the XII Annual International Black Sea Container Summit took place in Odessa.
The summit brought together the best experts in the field of container logistics from all countries of the Black Sea region (Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia), as well as representatives of the largest transnational companies operating in the region.
The relevance of the summit is due to the fact that the Black Sea container market, which was growing at the fastest pace in the world before the 2008 crisis – up to 40% per year, is steadily recovering today. Ukraine is actively developing the infrastructure of container traffic and stevedoring activity in the seaports, which causes the growth of container cargo volumes and the formation of a new market for port services.
Based on more than twenty years of experience in legal support of port operators, managing partner of ANK Law Firm, lawyer Alexander Kifak highlighted the legal aspects of the creation and modernization of container terminals in existing territories of state ports and in adjacent private territories.
